The ancient Greeks understood that each person carried within them a Daimon — a personal inner spirit, neither fully human nor divine, who served as one's deepest guide toward destiny. This was not a demon in the later, darker sense of that word, but something closer to a guardian genius: the voice of one's truest nature, the inner intelligence that knows what you are here to do and will not be permanently silenced, however long it is ignored.
Having traversed the wilderness, integrated the shadow, and celebrated the inner marriage, participants in this workshop are now ready for a direct dialogue with this most intimate of inner figures. Drawing on the traditions of active imagination and theatrical improvisation, participants learn to enter into genuine conversation with their Daimon — to listen, to be challenged, and to receive the guidance that has always been available from the deepest layer of the soul. This is soul work in its oldest and most essential form.
